The Har Nof neighborhood is situated in the west of Jerusalem with a population of over 10,000 familes. Built in to the Jerusalem forest, the community is primarily residential although it is home to many yeshivos and seminaries including Machon Lev, Shaarei Meir, Pachad Yitchok, Neve Yerushalayim, Bnos Chava, BYA, Mesilot and many more.

Hachovesh was founded with the principle of providing emergency medical care to the ill and injured of the community. The organization was founded with the guidance of the Bostoner Rebbe shlit"a almost 20 years ago. We are in constant consulation with our Ethical Advisor Rabbi Yehoshua Neuwirth.

The organization runs 365 days a year (including Yomim Tovim) 24 hours a day. The organization is comprised primarily of volunteers living in the community. Amongst these volunteers, you will find lawyers, executives, architects, teachers, principals, businessman, and rabbaim. Run in strict cooperation with halacha, the organization carries the expense of employing a non-jewish driver for Shabbosim and Yomim Tovim.
